What is Nutritional Therapy?strawberry

Nutritional Therapy can help you to improve your health, energy and general well-being through adjustments to your diet and lifestyle. By learning about what you put in your body, a nutritionist can help you understand how your habits can contribute to your health. If you are currently making an effort to lose weight or fulfill a desire to lead a healthier lifestyle, a nutritionist can help you meet your goals through an individual, holistic approach to treatment.

What can I expect from a session?

The practitioner will take detailed information about your diet, habits and lifestyle in order to determine the best approach to take. They will ask about your health history and any current medication.

Based on the initial conversation, the practitioner will then be able to make recommendations of particular foods or supplements which may be beneficial to you. In your follow-up appointments, further advice may be given, and you will be able to evaluate your progress.

Interesting facts

1. A good diet can contribute a great deal to a reduced risk of fatigue, illness and low mood
2. Diets which require you to consume less calories than you may burn in a day are not good for your health - a balanced diet involving all of the food groups is best
3. Simply swapping your normal foods for healthier alternatives can make a huge difference to your health - eg. tomato-based sauces instead of cheese, malt loaf for cakes or biscuits, sparkling water for sugary fizzy drinks etc.
