A centre of excellence for Complementary Medicine
THE NATURAL HEALTH CLINIC

- Acupuncture is an ancient healing system which originated in China and has been used
for thousands of years to maintain good health and heal a vast range of illnesses.
- Acupuncture is based on the Chinese philosophy of Taoism, and is designed to maintain
equilibrium in the body by balancing the flow of Qi – our motivating life-force energy.
- In China, Traditional Chinese Medicine is recognised as being as beneficial to health
as western medicine, and acupuncture is practised in many hospitals.
- The focus of acupuncture is to treat the body as a whole, rather than treating isolated
symptoms, and can help to improve the well being of the patient as well as bringing
relief from pain and illness.
- Acupuncture can be used to treat a variety of conditions including; anxiety, arthritis,
asthma, back pain, circulatory problems, depression, facial paralysis, fibrositis,
high blood pressure, infertility, insomnia, menstrual problems, migraines, rheumatism,
sciatica, skin conditions, and ulcers.
- Acupuncture is also beneficial for those attempting to overcome addictions such as
alcohol, drugs, smoking, or food.
- Here at the Natural Health Clinic, our acupuncturists are trained to the highest
level, and are members of the British Acupuncture Council.
